Neolith celebrates art and design at ADN Fórum

  • Neolith's Zigurat ephemeral space, designed by Fabián Ñíguez, features a staggered structure that merges history and innovation.
  • Neolith surfaces, with their modern aesthetic and versatility, create an ascending journey that encourages reflection on the relationship between ancient and modern, sacred and urban.

Neolith celebrates culture and creativity with a distinctive space designed by the renowned interior designer Fabián Ñíguez. Inspired by a ziggurat, this installation at ADN Fórum 2024 takes place in Madrid's iconic Plaza de Colón.

In this unique setting that blends art and urban space, Neolith presents Zigurat—a structure inspired by ancient civilizations, merging the fluidity and symmetry of Mesopotamian temples with a contemporary reinterpretation in an urban context. Neolith surfaces, known for their strength and versatility, offer a modern tribute to ancient temples of worship.

The “Ziggurat,” symbolizing spiritual ascent and divine connection, becomes a structure bridging past and present. This ephemeral space invites visitors to reflect on how symbols and forms from the past can inspire modern design and explore the passage of time.

Within the limited space of a shipping container, Neolith's Ziggurat illustrates humanity's quest to transcend the earthly, even in today’s most constrained and tech-driven environments. It bridges history and innovation, the spiritual with the contemporary, seeking a deeper connection to nature, sustainability, and a balance between technological progress and cultural heritage.

According to Fabián Ñíguez, "The internal architecture and innovative use of Neolith surfaces, along with mirrored panels, create a sense of boundless space and depth, transforming the container into a symbolically limitless area".

Reinterpreting a unique journey through Neolith surfaces

The visitor’s path through this ascending structure evokes a climb toward a temple, reimagined in an abstract and modern way. Neolith’s versatile, contemporary materials form a structure that reflects on the ancient-modern, sacred-urban interplay. Featured Neolith colors include Layla and Himalaya Crystal.

For a sense of modern progression, the interior surface uses Neolith Himalaya Crystal in a polished finish. The mirrored panels and prominent veins reflect both the surroundings and the visitors themselves, symbolizing an ascent toward the divine.

On the other hand, the dark, neutral tones of Neolith Layla evoke the weight of history, earth, and past civilizations. Its white veining and textured slate finish highlight certain details with a brilliant sheen.

A unique ephemeral space by Neolith for ADN Fórum 2024

Zigurat by Neolith, exclusively designed by Fabián Ñíguez for ADN Fórum 2024, offers an immersive experience that transports visitors to a space where past and present converge. The architecture, lighting, and selection of Neolith materials create an enveloping atmosphere that connects the urban with the sacred.

"The opportunity of framing Neolith within an event like ADN Fórum, which goes beyond art or architecture, is vital to our brand and aligns perfectly with our values," says Andreas Manero, Marketing Director of Neolith Group. "We are especially proud of Fabián Ñíguez's impressive work and his approach to interpreting spaces."

Thanks to its versatility and ability to emulate diverse materials, Neolith sintered stone reinterprets traditional materials from antiquity with a modern perspective.

The Neolith space at ADN Fórum can be visited in Madrid's Plaza de Colón until October 27, as part of the second edition that brings together over 15 artists and 20 brands.
